To the S roughly 40 m is a patch of private land. To the N are plots MONF.392 and 393. With the N slopes appearing like MONF.393. Much of the drier forests are dominated by tulip poplar and red oak.;Rich but dry forest of white ash and sugar maples over wild leeks and Canada violets. The plot is placed on a NNW facing ridge nose. There is a lot of downfall pointed north. There is both surficial limestone and sandstone found in the plot. This plot had as many species as the moist site but with lower % cover.
Representativeness
Large patch of dry but rich forest of Fraxinus americana - Acer saccharum / Alliumm tricoccum - Viola canadensis. Plot was placed to sample the mapped limestone in the area.
